First time posting.
I work for one of the big healthcare organizations in CA. I’m currently patient facing. I get to use my hands throughout the day and I feel secure in my position. I feel safe from AI takeover right now.
I may have an opportunity to take a remote position where all I’m doing is making phone calls and documenting. Basically care coordinating and customer service.
With the risk of most of these remote positions being eliminated and outsourced to other countries, I’m hesitant to take the leap. It does not feel safe for the long run. I’m torn. What should I do?
Also, both positions are full time and pay about the same. The remote position is non-Union, while my current position is.
