I’ve got two job offers. one is $120k per year but it’s hybrid with a short commute, the other is $180k with about 1 week per month of travel to their offices. tough choice. thoughts? I don’t think either of these jobs will last more than a year or two.
An update to my thoughts: $60k more per year equates to a decade earlier retirement for me, but I can also find that much or more without the travel. Both jobs are short term solutions to my current jobless predicament. The right answer then it would seem comes down to how long it will take me to find a better job. I’ve been at it for 6 months already with some part time contractor work I can do that keeps me floating. Maybe I’ll find something else by the end of the year, or maybe these are the last jobs anyone will have…
