Beware, Handshake AI are scammers

I went through the signup process a couple weeks ago, including uploading my license for identity verification. After completing this process and trying to browse available work, the website claimed that I needed to go through the identity verification process again. I emailed support and asked why. After a week I get an email back stating that they were unable to complete the identity verification and I need to provide additional information to verify my identity, such as a college diploma. I emailed a picture of my diploma. An entire week later, I received the following email back:

^{Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your appeal. After a thorough review, we have decided to uphold the ban on your Handshake AI account.
While we understand this may be disappointing, please note that this decision is final. We’re unable to provide additional details about the ban or respond to further inquiries regarding this decision.}

Also received an additional email “Notice of Handshake AI account deactivation”:

^{We’re contacting you because our team identified irregular activity associated with your account that does not align with our platform policies and usage expectations. After review, your account was determined to have violated the terms of our agreement.}

^{As a result, we have deactivated your Handshake AI account, effective immediately.}

I basically did nothing with the account other than try to see what jobs are available. The fact that they claim that they can’t provide any additional info about my account “ban” and take so long to respond makes this website an obvious scam. Furthermore, their website (yes a website for supposed AI jobs) is littered with grammatical errors.

Anyone on Reddit that claims otherwise is an obvious shill. As a victim of identity theft in the past, I will be reporting these scammers to the FTC as well as other websites.

Please do not attempt to signup for this shitty scam site!
