Standard WFH story: My ergonomics are terrible, and by 4 PM, my neck and shoulders feel like they’re made of concrete.
I kept seeing these acupressure mats and thought they were a gimmick. I finally grabbed a Meridian set (mat + neck pillow) and I’ve been using it during my lunch break or right after work.
The Experience: It looks like a medieval torture device, but it’s actually the best “reset” button for “tech neck.” You lie on it, the spikes hit those trigger points in your traps/shoulders, and the blood flow just rushes in. It feels like a deep tissue massage but you can do it right in your living room.
Pros:
- The pillow is a lifesaver for the base of the skull.
- Portable enough to keep under the desk.
- Actually makes you sit still and breathe for 10 minutes.
If you’re hunched over a keyboard all day, save your neck. Happy to point you toward the one I found if anyone is interested!
