On the brink of remote work

I went through 3 rounds (exluding the initial screening call from the recruiter that was with the HR Director) for a fully remote job in fintech. The last round was with the CRO, it went well he said he would reach out to the HR Director for next steps. Unfortunately I have not heard back for over a week. I can’t imagine I am being ghosted as that would be super unprofessional and the HR director has been great with communication but I suppose it is not impossible.

I am so happy about this opportunity because in person is such a waste of time for me. I go in complete everything early and then im just sitting around waiting for something new to come in. Its also annoying to be communicating through email and then the same person who sent me an email walks up to my desk to talk about that email. Why even send it? Why come to my desk as if I can’t just read what you sent. It messes up my focus and now we’re both wasting time. All of my meetings are through zoom and my desk is right in front of a common space at work. There will be times where people decide to have full on loud conversations behind me when im in a zoom call and I can barely focus. None of it makes sense and its treated like a crime to ask for remote days. Hoping I can get an offer soon!
