I was called RTO earlier this year. Lucky for me, there was an office near by i could report too and was able to keep my job.
3 months ago I was given an offer to another full time remote gig with a small pay cut but big benefits cut. I decided to turn it down today literally on the same day they gave me the start date.
Thinking about getting RTOd again terrifies me, specially because this one would mean having to move out of state. Of course this is my having PTSD since there is no way to know if it would actually happen. My current job gives me awesome benefits and the pay is great. But I’m the back of my head I know I truly want to be remote again.
