Work remote and do travel every other week. The company has just instituted a new PTO policy and increased the accrual and adjusted the key tenure dates for all other states, with the exception of California. If I lived in any other state, besides California I would be banking an additional 5 days a year of PTO. Is this legal? I am simply being told CA is different. It certainly has to do with the 5 sick days which are mandated by the state of CA for all non-exempt employees. Any thoughts? Thank you.
