Hey there,
I’m 21 and transitioning out of the military after four years of working as an Analyst. I’ve got a strong background in research, reporting, and collaboration—think data analysis, open-source research, cross-functional teamwork, strategic planning, all that good stuff.
I’m looking for remote, part-time work that can give me meaningful experience. I’m super open-minded about what field that’s in—could be admin, assistant, research, marketing, or nonprofit-related work.
I’ve tried the typical routes like Indeed and LinkedIn but they’re insanely oversaturated, and most “entry-level” jobs seem to want 3 years of direct experience anyway.
So I figured I’d ask the Reddit hive mind:
- Do you know of any smaller orgs, remote-first companies, or nonprofits hiring part-time remote help?
- Any Slack groups, newsletters, or niche job boards that worked for you?
- Have you ever landed a remote role through cold outreach or volunteering first?
I’m not looking for handouts—just a chance to prove myself and grow. I can start immediately, and I’m reliable, tech-savvy, and a fast learner. If you’ve got any leads, ideas, or places to look that aren’t the usual “apply and pray” sites, I’d seriously appreciate it.
