It’s team dependent, and our team only has to do the occasional ‘team building’ exercise on MS Teams (not sure yet, how often) in lieu of any office attendance. No one on my team has to go in the office; EVER. Not once a week, not once a month, not once a year.

Yet, somehow, I feel some of our team members will grumble about having to do the occasional ‘virtual happy hour’ or whatever team building activity we agree on. (Yes, the Team Building activity itself will be chosen by the team members, we just have to decide on what activity we want.)

So, my question to you all: would you 1) trade a maybe ‘cringy’ team building activity for one or two hours per month in team building activities or 2) Start looking for another job where you can be full time remote and don’t have to feel obligated to do team building?
