Thinking about quitting

I been working at a tutor job for almost 2 years now. I am also a college student that goes home back to school during breaks and I had told my boss a week before going into break that I would not be able to come into work because of winter break. I emailed her again to remind her and she was upset that I told her last minute. She wrote an email back stating that “this is not how you inform your employer you don’t plan to return to work on schedule”. She also said that she will consider it a no show when I had told her I was not going to be back. I am thinking about resigning/quitting because I feel like this job doesn’t match the pay and the amount of work I do. Also a similar situation happened last year when I had gone on break but she was chill about it. What do you guys think?
