Hey guys.
My company is giving me a MacBook M4 for remote work. At home I already have one 4K monitor, and I am planning to buy a second one so I can run dual external displays for work. What I would like to do is plug everything into one box and forget about it. Stuff I need to connect: 1. 2 × 4K monitors 2. external webcam 3. keyboard and mouse 4. maybe a headset or USB mic later
MacBook obviously does not have that many ports, so I know I need some kind of hub or dock or maybe a KVM, but honestly I am a bit confused about the difference between all of these. Some people say “get a USB C hub,” some say “you need a proper dock,” and others talk about KVMs for switching, my brain kind of checks out at that point. what would you recommend I actually buy???? thanks!
