I work mostly remote but I live in Delhi and still have to go into the office a couple of times a week for meetings. The heat here is brutal. Even a short metro ride plus the walks to and from stations can leave me wiped out for the rest of the day.

I want to build a simple routine for those hybrid days that assumes my energy will be lower, without tanking my productivity or forcing me to make up hours late into the night.

Looking for practical, remote-friendly habits and setups that help you stay consistent when the commute drains you:

  1. Scheduling: How do you plan your week so commute days don’t derail everything? Any patterns that work for you, like stacking meetings, saving deep work for certain days, or keeping lighter tasks on travel days?

  2. Home setup: Cheap changes that make it easier to settle back into work when you get home sweaty and tired. Think cooldown routines, lighting, desk placement, quick ways to cool off and refocus.

  3. Food and hydration: What is realistic to prep so you are not depending on random snacks and too much caffeine? Simple meal or drink ideas that actually help energy without a lot of effort.

  4. Boundaries: How do you stop the workday from stretching out just because you were slower earlier? Techniques to keep evenings free without sacrificing responsibilities.

Not looking for job leads or anything like that. Just practical systems people use to keep remote work sustainable when you have occasional in-person days in harsh weather.
