Let’s get two things out of the way first. I’m a Samsung user, a Samsung partner, and an AI enthusiast. I like exploring AI features that actually make me more productive, both at work and in day-to-day life. With that said:
I could spend hours talking about how I use ChatGPT and other AI tools, but there’s one feature on my phone that I use almost every day for work, and it saves me a lot of time on meeting notes and recaps. Yes, tools like Teams summaries or Copilot exist, and they’re good. But not every organization has them enabled. I work across multiple orgs, and some don’t have anything like that. On top of that, I take calls over the phone and occasionally meet in person, where those tools don’t help much anyway. What I started doing instead is using Samsung’s built-in Voice Recorder. I’ll record the meeting, not because I care about the recording itself, but because it unlocks transcription and summarization. Once the meeting ends, my phone automatically generates a transcript. From there, I can either send it to my computer or create a summary directly on the device using Galaxy AI. After that, I save or share what I need and delete the recording. I tried several live transcribing apps, that don’t rely on recording, but none of them were very accurate, and they weren’t free, that’s why I sue the Voice Recorder for this. It’s simple, fast, and doesn’t depend on any specific company tools or settings. For me, it’s been a pretty significant time saver. That’s it. New in the subreddit and figured I’ll contribute something to start. submitted by /u/S-P-A-C-E-M-S-H |
