I’m looking into note-taking software that works for meetings. I work remotely so my meetings are virtual but every once in a while I’ll have an in-person meeting. So I need it to work on both my computer as well as my phone (android). Ideally I’m looking for a free software/app that allows unlimited number of meetings, unlimited transcriptions, unlimited summaries, and no cap on meeting duration (some of my meetings are long). Also something that doesn’t show up as a bot in teams meetings. I know there are a bunch of apps that transcribe but I’m looking specifically for something that can also do notes/summary. I tried tl:dv but it was clunky, it also added a bot/tile to my team’s meetings which i hated. it also capped the number of summaries to 10 per month. I need at least like 50 so that’s not going to work. and I don’t want to pay for the premium service. So yeah i deleted tl;dv. I did some digging and found another one called Krisp which I just downloaded. So far I’ve tested it on my phone a couple times just talking for a few minutes with my husband. Not bad, ilike the clean interface, and will try it for real in-person meeting tomorrow. The downside is the AI summaries are capped at 2 meetings per day. So not perfect but better. Iguess i could just upload transcriptions if additional meetings into chatgpt and ask it to summarize. Clunky but doable. What isnt clear yet is whether there’s a cap on meeting duration. Most of my meetings are 60 min, a few might maybe go 2 hrs. So we’ll see. Need to get IT’s help adding it to my work machine so I can give it a proper spin. If anyone knows of something better, please share!! I’d love to hear suggestions. I’d love to find something that checks all those boxes!
