Just a bit of a rant really.. I’ve always been extremely pro remote, and currently work full time remote in an admin type position but with low pay. Fortunately I rarely have to do virtual meetings, I get around 10 customer calls to deal with per day (which is probably healthy for me to stop me becoming a recluse). But the work volume and variety of tasks I’m responsible for is insane.. my job should be about 3 people and I’m pretty much running this company by myself (the company is basically just me and my boss…), off the top of my head I’m sales, finance, admin, HR, governance.. everything lol..my old job where I was hybrid 2 days wfh was much easier as I when at home I had hardly anything to do..
It’s true that remote is a location not a job… I’m thinking I’d be better off in an office faffing around gossiping with colleagues and doing something easier…
