Before anyone says “just take meeting minutes” I know. I do. The problem is theyre inconsistent and incomplete because im also trying to participate in the conversation.

I have maybe 18 to 22 meetings a week, back to back most days. I write up notes after each one and send recap emails when I can. But by meeting 5 or 6 im rushing through them to get to the next call. The quality drops off hard by end of day.

Then 2 weeks later someone asks about a decision we made and my notes say something like “discussed timeline, need to follow up” which tells me nothing. I end up having to ask people to remind me what we talked about which makes me look like I wasnt paying attention.

Ive tried different note templates, tried doing it during the call instead of after, tried voice memos that I transcribe later. Nothing sticks because the volume is just too high.

I know some people use AI bots to record but im skeptical about accuracy. Also not sure how I feel about recording every conversation. But at this point manual documentation clearly isnt working for me so I need some feedback here.

Any thoughts on using AI note takers? Or is t here other solution you are using?
