Currently working from home. About 2 hours from headquarters but very small company. Recently asked about coming in once a month. All new hires working from headquarters, no more new hires wfh or even hybrid. Interviewed with another company 100 percent remote but much larger company. I doubt I’d ever meet anyone in person. Possibly once a year at their headquarters. I love wfh but I also feel insecure not knowing people in person. It makes it seem so easy to pull the plug or do layoffs. This new wfh role has better benefits and salary. Just worried if there is a recession the viability of my role. Has anyone dealt with this insecurity with work from home of not getting to know colleagues in person?
