How to tell a job offer is a scam?

I’ve started receiving a few responses for remote positions, but am unsure how to determine between ones that are legit and ofc tryna steal your information

A few have discussed trying to send me checks as a way to afford something thats part of the process

Some of these i absolutely didn’t trust and then others are almost convincing?

Referencing laundering laws and such.

What do you guys think?
