Listen to the Work From Home Forever Podcast

Check out the Undiscovered Entrepreneur podcast with DJ Skoob

We are a week away from the launch of Season Two where we will listen to Doris’ work from home forever story. Doris is a Travel and Relocation Coach and she and her husband and three kids have been living, working and traveling throughout the world every two years. She’s got an amazing story and I can’t wait for you to listen to it. Her story airs next week!

In the meantime, we have one more Feed Drop episode and this is from our friends at the Undiscovered Entrepreneur ..Start-up, online business, podcast hosted by DJ Skoob.

DJ Skoob and I connected as indie podcasters often do to find ways to collaborate. We don’t have big budgets like the other podcasts that are backed by big studios, so it’s important to provide other avenues for our voices to be heard.

In this solo episode, DJ Skoob answers four main questions to find your Zone of Genius.

Four main questions to find your Zone of Genius

  • What do you most love to do?
  • What work do you do that doesn’t feel like work?
  • What produces the highest ratio of satisfaction and abundance to the amount of time spent?
  • What is a unique priceless gift that you carry within yourself?

This episode really resonated with me because DJ Skoob’s motivations, especially around podcasting, sound really similar to my story. If podcasting your thing, these questions are also a great way to reflect on your goals and how you’re tracking to those goals.

Tell us about your Return to Office stories

And if you’re like many who are getting those Return to Office mandates heading into the fall, maybe this is an opportunity for you to find out what really drives you, and take those first steps to find your own path, whether that’s in a remote job, or even going out on your own.

Speaking of Return to Office, we would love for you to leave us a note on our website or even a voicemail about your Return to Office stories. We’d love to share those comments and thoughts about the subject on our podcast in a future episode.

In the meantime, please take a listen to DJ Skoob of the Undiscovered Entrepreneur podcast. If you like his show, please check out their other episodes on all the major podcast platforms and let him know you heard him on the Work From Home Forever podcast.

S3 E5 Corey Walker: From Marketing Specialist to Instagram for Dummies Work From Home Forever

In this episode of the Work From Home Forever podcast, we chat with Corey Walker, a social media agency owner and co-author of "Instagram for Dummies" and "Instagram for Business for Dummies." Corey shares her journey from working in a corporate cubicle to running her own successful social media agency from home. The catalyst for her transition was the desire to spend more time with her young daughter, who was in daycare while Corey felt unproductive in her office cubicle. Determined to find a better work-life balance, she began freelancing and eventually established her agency, The Marketing Specialist. Corey highlights the importance of having a dedicated office space at home and setting clear boundaries with clients to maintain a healthy work-life balance. She discusses how the rise of short-form video content has transformed digital marketing, noting the challenges small business owners face in creating engaging videos. Despite the obstacles, she emphasizes the necessity of leveraging platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn to connect with clients and grow their businesses. Corey also touches on the importance of maintaining personal connections and taking breaks to avoid burnout. She shares strategies for managing client expectations and stresses the value of networking and continuous learning to stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of social media marketing. Throughout the interview, Corey provides practical advice for those considering a transition to remote work, whether for a company or as an entrepreneur.
