When I first went remote, I thought I’d have so much extra time: no commute, no office distractions, more flexibility.
But somehow… my workday feels longer now. It’s like the boundaries between “work” and “life” blurred, and I find myself checking Slack at midnight or answering emails during dinner.
On the flip side, I love the autonomy and the freedom that remote work gives me — but I’m realizing that without clear boundaries, flexibility can turn into always on.
Curious how others here deal with this:
👉 Do you set strict “log-off” hours?
👉 Have you ever had to push back against a team/company that expects 24/7 availability just because you’re remote?
👉 Any hacks you’ve found to actually keep remote work remote from your personal life?
