When I first set up my home office I went all in on aesthetics. My OCD just couldn’t handle mismatched furniture or a cluttered look so I obsessed over clean lines, neutral colors, and things that looked “Pinterest worthy”. At the time sadly comfort was not my main priority.

After a few weeks, I realized my desk height wasn’t right, the chair I bought looked amazing but left my back aching and the whole setup just wasn’t practical for working (or gaming lol) long hours. I had to switch to a proper chair which is still super clean and fits the aesthetic. Now I feel like I’m constantly torn aesthetics still matter a lot to me (a nice looking setup really does make me feel more focused) but comfort is clearly the thing that determines how long I can actually sit and get work done without pain so when you set up your workspace, do you lean more toward aesthetics or comfort? And do you think one matters more for productivity in the long run?
