I work ‘based from home’ and currently make roughly 81.5k per year as an in house recruiter for a company I’ve been with since 2011.
Prior to this I was a very successful District Manager for the company. And at the time, my regional director wasn’t going anywhere. And I couldnt (still cant) relocate because of family ties to the area and we have a good support system for raising the family.
Wfh was a huge perk but I also thought it might be a chance to make my mark in another department but then they hired externally instead of promoting me. I’ve been vibing in my current role for about 5 years now… its a dead end.
Well, my old boss in operations gave it up last week. So I applied, interviewed, and I think I’m going to get an offer.
So wonderful folks of reddit; please advise me which pill to take:
Current job:
81.5k salary + up to 10% bonus
Work based from home
Travel once a month for a week or so
Director Job:
97,500 salary + up to 15% bonus + unlimited sales incentives
Company Vehicle (personal use allowed) maintenance and Insurance included
Still based from home
Regional Travel 3 – 4 days, 3 weeks a month
Would you make the move?
