Hey r/remotework, I’m overseas handling family matters and a divorce after my product design job at a SaaS company got outsourced to China in 2024. Freelancing has already dried up, and my savings are running low. As a US person with a US phone number, address, and fast internet, I’m looking for any US-based remote job-commission-based pay is totally fine. I’ve managed hundreds of inbound calls daily in call centers for pharmaceutical and insurance companies and made outbound calls during an internship at a data company, gathering info from tens of paper mills daily. I’ve got hands-on experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, and other CRMs from my work as a product designer and developer building software. I’m crafting a resume to highlight these skills and working on becoming a stronger communicator-I’m not the chattiest but get comfortable once I break the ice. Is remote work viable from abroad? How tough is breaking into remote roles with spam filters or gatekeepers for outreach jobs? Any tips for landing something with my background? Thanks for the advice!
