Change address in case of RTO?

Thinking of changing my address to a relative’s house farther away from HQ in case my job announces RTO.

My only question is does that affect my taxes? New address is within the same state, but my W2 will list a different address than the one I’m paying property taxes on. Don’t want to get in trouble with the Feds.
