Online Chocolate Tasting Experience Provider – AMA

I’ve seen many threads asking about “online experiences that don’t suck“. Do they exist? How can you find them?

I’m a full-time chocolate educator who’s hosted hundreds online tastings and the answer is YES, you can book a virtual event that gets people excited. Here are my top 3 tips to get started.

First, you need a team that genuinely wants to spend time together. That is the first requirement for an engaging event. If your culture sucks, so will your event. A 1-hr tasting isn’t a magical bullet to fix morale if your team’s constantly burned out.

Second, ask for referrals. By now, most people have sat through a virtual team event, so ask your friends for names of vendors who do a good job engaging their audience.

If your event has a kit, BOOK EARLY. Now’s the perfect time to book your online holiday event. December 17 and 18 will be the most popular event dates, so make sure to start looking for a vendor NOW. Don’t be that person that asks to ship kits with a 5-day notice in the middle of December.
