I work fully remote and I’m on the road a lot around the Midwest – hotels, coffee shops, occasional coworking day passes. I also train 4 to 5 times a week, so my schedule has to flex around gym sessions, laundry, and trying not to eat like garbage while I’m traveling.

The tech stuff is fine. The hard part for me is staying consistent when every week looks different. Some weeks I feel locked in and productive. Other weeks I’m constantly switching contexts, reacting to messages, and working late because I underestimated travel and life admin.

Would love tips from people who do something similar:

1) What are your non-negotiable weekly routines that keep work from bleeding into everything else? (planning, review, time blocks, shutdown ritual, etc.)

2) How do you structure your day when you do not control your environment? Noise, unreliable desks, random check-in times, that kind of stuff.

3) Any simple methods for protecting deep work time without turning into a hermit?

4) For people who also train regularly, how do you plan workouts around unpredictable days without constantly feeling behind?

Not looking for apps or productivity systems that need a bunch of setup. More interested in realistic routines and boundaries that actually hold up while traveling. Thanks, appreciate any tips.
