Using an adjustable workbench instead of a standing desk?

Hello,

I am considering buying a standing desk, but since this is niche and a bit “nerdy”, I fear that the companies who sell them are adding useless things in order to make them more premium (like how they would sell gaming chairs 100€ when they should cost 20, yes, I bought one when I was younger 😞).

Is it worth looking into workbenches instead? They have been on the market for longer, so their quality/price ratio should be good.
