First Day at New Remote Job

This is just a diary entry for onboarding into new remote job.

Been working remotely since 6 years in my previous company where I worked for 7 years. Just switched now into a global remote company.

First Day was orientation in the afternoon with 26 other members across 20 countries.

Did a lot of trainings/guides/courses for compliance, safety, sexual harassment, had call for 5 mins with manager.

I got added into multiple team channels, got invite for standup.

For now, It all seems somewhat overwhelming as I am trying to pick up things. Also there’s comparison keep going in my mind from my previous company which was pretty great on every little aspects, So I have to try to stop myself from doing that.

Overall, just hoping to get along with peers really well and manager and start contributing on the role.
