Hi everyone! I’m an EA and operations professional based in El Salvador, with sixteen years across customer experience, team leadership, BPO-QA (quality assurance for customer interactions), and executive support. Over the past year I supported a US-based executive across several time zones (PST, CST, EST, BST), managing complex calendars, coordinating logistics, and building workflow automations using tools like Outlook, Google Workspace, Notion, Zapier, and Power Automate.
I’ve been searching for remote work for a while and have been very intentional about my strategy. So far, I’ve: • created tailored ATS-friendly résumés for different roles • optimized my LinkedIn and professional branding • customized every application based on job descriptions • built strong proposal templates and audio intros • applied consistently across platforms (LinkedIn, Virtual Latinos, HireLatam, Upwork, etc.)
Despite all of this, I’m still not seeing consistent traction or interviews.
I know the remote job market has shifted a lot, so I’d love some insight from people who have been navigating it too.
Specifically: • Is the remote admin/EA market simply saturated right now? • Are there platforms or companies actually hiring LATAM-based remote workers? • What strategies have worked for you recently in getting responses or interviews? • Anything you’d recommend adjusting in my approach?
I’m committed and flexible — just trying to make sure I’m moving in the right direction. Thanks in advance to anyone who shares their experience.
