My friend is a telehealth nurse for a major hospital and she already works remotely, but her employer has extremely strict geographical rules about where she’s allowed to log in from. She’d love more flexibility — like being able to work from a van, travel between states, or even just move around the state without worrying about violating policy — but she’s not sure what’s actually allowed versus what could get her in trouble.
Has anyone dealt with remote-nursing roles that tightly restrict your location? And for nurses who want total mobility, is it even possible to work fully remote from anywhere, or does she need to switch employers to get that kind of freedom? Any insight or experiences would be super helpful.
