With everything that’s going on with the economy and American society as a whole, I’m grateful I get to make a living from my home office. My car has been broken down more often than not all year but the stress has been minimal from it. I remember taking the bus to work when this kind of thing happened in the past. Small inconveniences could cause so much day-to-day chaos.
Finished a meeting? Let’s go for a quick 10 minute walk, dogs. Powered through a project early? I’ll cook some lunch. I don’t want to take this stuff for granted, because I know how much life can get sucked up by work with a commute.
I know this won’t last. I’m going back to school to change career fields and WFH won’t be an option. For a while, at least. I just thought I’d write a reminder here that I should count my blessings.
