Anyone familiar with The Functionary? Job offer legitimacy?

Hi everyone,

I recently received a job offer through a company called The Functionary, which mentioned I’d be reporting to a Education Company as an SRE Project Manager. The offer includes a monthly salary of around $X 10 vacation days, and requires me to open a Payoneer account for payments.

Some things raised red flags for me: • The offer letter doesn’t have a company letterhead, physical address, or formal signature. • It’s not clear whether my employer would be The Functionary or this Education Company. • The benefits seem very minimal compared to what I’d expect from this top Education Company directly. • They’re asking for personal documents to set up Payoneer before sending a full contract.

Before I share any personal information, I wanted to ask:

👉 Has anyone here worked with or heard of The Functionary? 👉 Is it a legitimate staffing/outsourcing firm, and do they actually partner with companies like top Education Companies? 👉 Any advice on how to verify their credibility would be greatly appreciated.
