I’ve been working fully remote since the start of my career, and I hate how LinkedIn buries genuine openings – showing you low-pay local roles or listings you can’t even apply to (eg. “visa required”, “US-only”, “german speaking”, etc) + there are a lot of fake jobs/scams looking to steal your data.
I’ve added metrics to help you recognize REAL JOBS:
– Backed by top investors (eg a16z)
– Graduates of top startup accelerators (eg ycombinator)
– Transparent funding & revenue amounts
– A link to each company’s website
– Employee count
(^ these metrics are pretty much what I usually research before an interview to make sure the company is legit, but lmk if you’d like to see something else)
My top planned features atm are:
– adding more data sources to pull jobs from
– more ways to identify scams
