Hello everyone, I am a foreign remote worker for a U.S.-based company, and I have been working with them for three years. Recently, I became curious about my pay and discovered that the company handling my employment and payments here in Mexico is charging my employer $5 per hour. This leaves me with only $5.22 an hour, which is nearly half of my salary. While I understand that they take a portion of my pay for government insurance—around $90 per month—I would prefer to receive my full salary and manage my finances directly. I have mentioned to my employer the possibility of working directly for them, bypassing the intermediary. Is there a way for my employer to pay me directly through services like Wise or Payoneer, and for me to provide them with an invoice for my services? I would appreciate any advice on this matter. Thank you! submitted by /u/Narrow_Sun_6826 |
