Q & A with Maria

Why did you want to Work From Home Forever?

  • Much like many other parents, the pandemic closures taught me a valuable lesson in just how little time I was spending at home with my family. Once I was able to get that, I wanted to hold on to it permanently.

How long have you been Working From Home, Forever?

  • I accepted my first fully remote role two years ago.

What tradeoffs, if any, did you make in order to Work From Home Forever?

  • I don’t think I’ve had to make any trade offs in my decision to work from home forever. Quite the opposite – I’ve been given more money and better working conditions that ever before. If I were to have stayed in my last fully in-person role, I would have been asked to devote more hours outside the home in order to continue to advance.

How do you manage work/life balance Working From Home, Forever?

  • I have a very healthy balance that allows me to work early and end the day fairly early as well, making it possible to enjoy the time I have with my family.

What’s your best advice to others who want to Work From Home Forever?

  • Get yourself a standing desk and under desk treadmill! It greatly impacts my productivity while on the computer during the work day.

How can people get a hold of you?
